I did a lot for Christmas like exchange gifts, visit relatives, and eat!!! Since I’m considered to be grown, I didn’t get much at all for Christmas but clothes and gift cards. I tried to get everyone what they wanted for Christmas, but some of the things that was asked for was out of my price range, so I got them something else that I thought that they would like. The gifts that I received and the gifts I gave were all smiles. Besides all of the visiting and exchanging of gifts, I got to do my favorite of all, eat. I had a wonderful Christmas, how about you?!

I really didn’t do anything while out on the break. I mostly stayed around the house laying around and watching t.v. up until Thanksgiving day. On Thanksgiving day is when I stopped laying around and being lazy. I got up early Thanksgiving morning and started my day off by calling everybody that I could think of and told them happy thanksgiving. After calling, I went to Wal-Mart to buy cards for my relatives and grandparents. I went and visited a lot of people that day, so I didn’t stay but about twenty minutes at every ones house that I went to. After all of the visiting, I went home, where my family and I ate, laughed and talked. I enjoyed my family and everything that I did Thanksgiving Day and my grandparents loved the cards that I had bought for them.

What are you doing on Thanksgiving day? Every year for Thanksgiving my family gets together and have Thanksgiving dinner at a relatives house. Relatives of my family come from everywhere for this day. I see majority of my family everyday, but the one’s that living out town and out of state usually come in about three of four days before Thanksgiving day. Members of my family get together and cook different types of dishes, laugh and talk about the past and about what they have going on now. With the family cooking so much, it takes a couple of days to prepare everything. Two years ago we all had dinner at my house. This year I don’t know where we going to meet because I haven’t heard nothing yet, but I think the dinner’s going to be at one of my aunts house. My favorite of all is getting the remaining cake mix that is left in the mixing bowl… lol!!! I wish everyone a happy and loving Thanksgiving.

The American Saddlebred Horse started back in the 1700s when Galloway and Hobby Horses were brought to North America by British Colonists and bred with Thoroughbreds. The Galloways and Hobbies were natural pacers; small, hardy, and very comfortable to ride over tough terrain. By 1776 this new breed of horses became an all-purpose riding horse, commonly called the American Horse, was recognized as a definite type.These animals retained the easy gaits and stamina of the Narraganset Pacer with the addition of Thoroughbred size and quality. These American Horses were used to fight in the Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812 making Kentucky the production to good Saddle Horses.

In my multimedia class we have been taking pictures using the different types of photo taking techniques. The techniques that we have went over so far are Rule of Thirds, close up( is when using a camera and zoom in on whatever you are taking a picture of), framing(taking a picture with some type of frame around it), Leading Lines, unique angle( is taking a picture at a angle and still include the whole object that you are taking a photo of), pattern( a portrait of something that has a pattern), and Shadow Photography. After taking a couple of those pictures, the class had to make a photobook using iphoto. In our photobook we had to include the following photography techniques and some pictures of our school, ourselves or someone else, and a picture of nature
Filming

Hello everyone, my multimedia class has been filming movies. The class was divided into groups ranging anywhere from four to six people. Each group picked a camera that they all agreed on that would be good to film with and started filming. We didn’t have much time to film so it was sort of a rush. Each group made three or more trailors on what they were going to film on and when they came up with a good one, they started acting it out. The idea that the group that I’m in came up with an idea of someone cheating. It is going to be a lot of fun filming and working with my classmates.
Cheater Cheater

The name of the movie that me and my group have filmed is Cheater Cheater. In my group there are four of us, Lance, Lauren, Kelly, and myself Dontreel. We came up with an idea of me(Dontreel) cheating on Kelly with Lauren, and Lance is the cameraman. After walking Kelly to class one day, Lauren and I meet in the library which can be seen through a window from Kelly’s class. Kelly see Lauren and I, and starts to band on the glass. Lauren and I see Kelly and walk out of the library. While leaving out of the library, Kelly meet Lauren and I in the lobby and goes off. This is a brief summary of what is going on in our movie. While doing this movie I had a lot of fun and enjoyed working with my classmates.
Minden

Minden was established in 1836 by Charles H. Veeder, a native of Schenectady, New York, who named it for the city of Minden in Germany. With all of the other towns being in the parish, Minden is the heart of Webster Parish. Minden has a large number of businesses and an active Chamber of Commerce, which maintains offices near the intersection of Broadway and the Sibley Road. Two former executive directors of the chamber were elected mayor, Tom Colten in 1966 and Paul A. Brown in 1989. The Webster Parish Courthouse, completed in the late 1950s, is located a few years west of its former location, which became a parking lot for the new Minden City Hall/Civic Center in the early 1970s.
Minden has an elevation of 253 feet (77.1 m) and a population of about 13,027. Minden is about 32 miles fromThe City of Shreveport and about 64 miles from the City of Monroe .
Minden is served by the Webster Parish School Board, an elected body which maintains administrative offices on Sheppard Street. Minden High School, located at the intersection of Sullivan and College streets, completed major renvoation in 2007. The original school dates to the turn of the 20th century. There is a vocational technical school in Minden, Northwest Louisiana Technical College, located on Constable Street near the sites of the Webster Parish fairgrounds and Griffith Stadium, a baseball field, where the former Minden Redbirds semi-professional team played. Elementary schools include E.S. Richardson, William G. Stewart, J.L. Jones, and J.E. Harper schools. The middle school is located at the site of the former historically black Webster High School, which closed in 1975, with desegregation into Minden High School. The previous junior high school, Theresa M. Lowe Junior High School located near the technical college, was closed after desegregation and converted into an alternative school.
Of all of the business in Minden, the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant is one of the the biggest distribution corporation in the city.

Horsepower!!!

I bet that you’re wondering what I mean aren’t you? Well I done made a change from the “horsepower” on four legs to the “horsepower” on four wheels…lol. Lately I’ve been helping some friends out by helping them put together some motors that they’ve taken out of some older model cars and are rebuilding them to have more horsepower than with they came with. The Motors that we are working on are a 454, sb (small block) 350, and a bb (big block) 350. The motors are going to be basically brand new whenever we finish with them. I’m not going to stop riding horses or nothing, I’ve just found a different feel in something else that I like.
